Potato and Frittata are outdoors struggling to create a new song. But their lyrics are uninspired and their work is interrupted by sounds from nature. Frustrated, they take a break. Potato and Frittata talk to young artist Joe Whale, who expresses his creativity by doodling. They talk about being inspired by nature, how everything is connected, and that little things make up big things. Joe used his creativity to draw Super Robot who uses his powers to protect the planet. During their conversation with Joe, Potato and Frittata realize that they can incorporate nature sounds to their song. In the time travel segment, Potato and Frittata learn how creativity (writing) and activism came together to help the environment. They go to a rocky beach in Maine in 1969 and learn about Rachel Carson, renowned biologist and writer, and her tremendous impact on the Western environmental movement.
