Mac, a famous football referee, finds a book that narrates the history of his ancestors… a whole line of referees going back to prehistoric times. He right away calls Mic, the microphone, the best football reporter. While Mac explains everything to him, Mic travels back to the prehistoric age…and discovers the real origin of football. People lived in caves and depended on hunting for their subsistence. One day, the tribe faced a mammoth so fierce that their spears didn’t have any effect. After trying to bring it down using all the known weapons, Roky, a young caveman, gave a rock a hard kick. The rock hit the mammoth on the forehead, knocking it out. “Gronk!” shouted all the other cave people. And that’s how football began. Naturally, at first there weren’t any rules. So it was MAC-URK, the first of the Mac saga, who established the dimensions of a playing field. Mac-Urk also organized the first prehistoric football championship where teams——such as the Sportive Mammoths, who played fair and creative, or the Athletic Boulders, violent and unsportsmanlike——played against each other.
